Frequently Asked Questions

What should I expect the day of my appointment?
Consult - Typically on the day of the initial appointment (we can schedule a consult before if desired), we go over what you'd like to improve about your lips/brows, our expectations, procedure, and any questions that you may have at this point in time.
Shaping (for brows only) - Tweezers and a derma plane blade are used for cleaning up stray/unnecessary hairs and your brow is given its best natural shape.
Mapping - The natural symmetry of your face is utilized to create the ideal lip/brow shape proportionate to your face.
Color approval - The final step before we begin the permanent make-up process, we agree on the best color suited for you.
Magic happens - We start the desired process (micro/combo/ombre) and numb through-out, to give you the most comfortable experience possible. Your approval and questions are asked/answered through-out our time together.
*Pictures will be taken through-out, with the client’s approval*
*This is by no means the complete breakdown of the process, but a simplified explanation. *

Is it painful?

Past clients have said that they experienced minor discomfort and some pressure during the procedure. A numbing cream is used at the beginning and through-out to ensure your comfort. The following day the area may be a bit tender and swollen.

*It may be more painful right before and during mensuration*

How do I know what shape or color to get?

If you already have an idea of what you’d like, then that’s perfect. Most clients aren’t sure, and that’s what we’re here for! Our experience and education will help to come up with a color and shape that’s best suited for your face and overall skin undertones. Keep in mind that we are trying to best match you to your natural color when it comes to brows.

Please note that Lip Blushing can only be performed 4 weeks after your most recent outbreak. The prescription does not guarantee the avoidance of an outbreak, but reduces the likelihood one occurs.
